How do I enroll my child in Beat Camp? +
Create a parent account at soundcannonu.com/login.html, then add your child from the Parent Portal. Lessons are available immediately after creating your student account — no waiting, no scheduling required. Beat Camp is fully self-paced!
What age is Beat Camp designed for? +
Beat Camp is designed for students ages 8–18, though we welcome anyone with a passion for music production. The platform is COPPA-compliant for students under 13, with parents controlling all account access for younger students.
What equipment do my kids need to get started? +
Just a device with an internet connection and speakers or headphones. No instruments, no special software, and no music experience required. Our Beat Lab runs entirely in the browser — students can make real beats from day one.
How does the XP and leveling system work? +
Students earn XP (experience points) by completing video lessons and quizzes. Every 500 XP earns a new level. Leveling up unlocks new content and badges. Daily logins build a streak — students are motivated to come back every day, just like their favorite games.
Can I track my child's progress? +
Yes! The Parent Portal provides a detailed breakdown of your child's progress including lessons completed, XP earned, daily streaks, badges, and beat saves. You can also reset your child's password directly from the portal.
Is my data safe? +
Yes. We take privacy seriously, especially for minors. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. We never sell user data. We are COPPA-compliant for users under 13. See our full Privacy Policy for all the details.
